Give me your subversive monogram suggestions NOW.

I just got promoted and my office gift is a portfolio (which I would actually love to use) with a monogram (not my style). I could forgo the monogram but think it might be fun to misuse it instead.

My first inclination is ABK (Always Be Knolling) but think that might be too esoteric. Any suggestions that are clearly me having a bit of fun without being so offensive so as to make it impossible to bring to work meetings?

Is there any legitimately plausible work-safe justification for WAP? (I used to work on the federal Weatherization Assistance Program.) Then you just have to practice delivering it with a straight face...

Keep in mind there's a non-zero chance you'll have to explain what the initials stand for every now and again, so if you go for something profane (which would be awesome), maybe have an alternate explanation in your back pocket, just in case.

I like TPS, personally.

What does TPS mean?
posted by Ahmad Khani at 12:15 PM on December 18, 2020

I take TPS as a reference to the TPS report in Office Space (Wikipedia link).

"After Office Space, 'TPS report' has come to connote pointless, mindless paperwork, and an example of 'literacy practices' in the work environment that are 'meaningless exercises imposed upon employees by an inept and uncaring management' and 'relentlessly mundane and enervating'."

Borrow ROT from Cary Grant in North By Northwest.

Eve Kendall: Roger O. Thornhill. What does the O stand for?
Roger Thornhill: Nothing.
