What SimBusiness game do I play now?

My son’s distance learning program had two math games that I got hooked on: Motion Math’s Cupcake and Pizza. In both of them you run a restaurant, gradually upgrading the store, getting new ingredients and making money. We don’t have access to the program now, and I’d like a replacement game that has similar elements, is on iOS, and is NOT free to play!

What I liked about both games was the feeling of creativity (you get to design the cupcakes and pizzas), upgrading my little space, and understanding, then breaking the system to make ridiculous amounts of money. ($88 caviar-laden pizzas are surprisingly strong sellers!)

I have found similar games that are free to play, and I do not want that, I liked having a self-contained game that didn’t feel like it would just go on forever and didn’t require me to wait to take actions. I’m fine paying for a good game. I’d like it on my iPad ideally but on my iPhone is OK. Difficulty level doesn’t matter: the simple games were fun, a more involved game would be fun too. Thank you for any suggestions!

I would recommend any of the games from Kairosift like Game Dev story. These are some of the only self contained economic games I've seen, probably because they're older (but I believe are still being supported). Because this genre lends itself to free to play, almost all of the newer games are free to play.

Seconding Kairosoft (here's a discussion of favorites via Reddit).

Response by poster: I went on a big Kairosoft kick a few years ago! They are definitely up my alley, I will see if there’s anything from them I haven’t played that looks good.
