Have some rusty looking leaves on my pear tree

My master gardener is unavailable so it's back to the have mind. Picture the pear tree leaves are covered with orange spots that look like rust.

What is it and how do I fix it?

Best answer: Looks like (appropriately enough) pear rust. Do you have junipers or cedars nearby? The disease typically alternates between infecting juniper/cedar and then pear/apple/quince.

There are fungicide spray schedules you can employ, but be aware that many of those fungicides are not necessarily readily available for the home gardener. Looks like a bad case of it this year, but you may be able to do better next year if you get a jump on it.
