Story about Doorknocker who comes to life /creates mischief

Looking for a story from old elementary school Reader (1930’s or 40’s maybe?) about a little goblin doorknocker that comes to life and creates mischief around the house.

If I recall correctly, there is a story like that in Shadow Castle from the 40's, I wonder if that story was included in the Reader you remember? The way Shadow Castle is set up is as a collection of stories about goblins, dragons, knights and princesses told to a young girl visiting a magical castle so that seems plausible.

Response by poster: Thank you! I do not know if this is the same story as I have found the book online, but am still trying to search the contents. The book we had was an old school reading book, but my sister and I can not recall the name of the book. It was a cute story. I will continue to try to find the story in the book Tea Time Tales. Thank you for your help!
