What’s the best way to blur faces in photos on an iPhone XR?

I regularly want to simply blur faces in photos on my phone, an iPhone XR. I would ideally like this to be as simple as “pull photo up, scribble on face with finger, save.” I am happy to pay for an app up to $10, but do not want to pay for a subscription service or have to do anything not-on-the-phone.

I definitely do not want to just throw a sticker on top of something, or scribble over it- I want a blur effect. I’d be perfectly happy with something as simple as the tool in WhatsApp- but I can’t figure out how to save edits in there without sending it to someone. Surely someone smarter than me has figured this out?

I like PicsArt for this. They have a lot of good blue options.

One way I can think of is download photoshop fix for free and clone stamp over the face.

If whatsapp has a tool that does this then wouldn't screenshotting be an option?

YouDoodle is “free” with in-app purchases including the smudge tool. It’s brainlessly easy to use and you can evade most of the ads by closing the app the second you’re done.

You could also do the WhatsApp thing (haven’t seen it myself) and send it to yourself (I’m assuming you can text yourself in WhatsApp but I could be wrong). I text myself photos sometimes because i want a second copy and that’s not always easy on my phone. Kind of a pain but definitely do-able.

I have the Pixlr app that I use for near all my photo editing. It's free. It takes about 5 button clicks in the app: click the brush, select pixelate, draw on the face, hit the check mark to apply the brush, and then hit "Done" to save. It will save in the folder you select when you first download. here's a video that over-explains it for you, because of course there is.
