I wish it sucked more.

After reading recommendations from many MeFites I bought the Black & Decker Flex Lithium vac. It has outsmarted me so far and I'm looking for some advice.

I generally switch between three attachments - crevice tool, wide floor-vac, and pet thing.

How do the attachments go on? As I switch them around - and the lengths of pipe - they get more confusing. I have some silver pipes and some attachments with black ends and a silver plastic adapter.

I can never get any of the pieces to snap together. Is there a rule-of-thumb? Plastic with metal? Clip fastener vs. button fastener?

I'd use this awesome vac way more often if I could just handle it consistently.

I usually look up the product on YouTube to see if anyone has a walkthrough video. This video might be helpful.

There is a user manual here for the model that doesn't have the floor attachment.

There's a spring clip on the end of the hose and each of the attachments has an indentation for it to snap into. The floor attachment goes on the plain metal end of the pipe and just stays in place via friction; the other end of it has a plastic ring which has the same indentation for the clip. I'm not sure which other piece might be the hangup for you unless there's a piece broken or missing on yours?

Response by poster: I just spent some time with it... I can attach the attachments to the hose but how do I attach the pipe to the hose to lengthen it more?

If the answer is not in the video linked above, perhaps leave a question/comment for the maker of the video? Or contact the manufacturer.
