IBS

I am looking for information on IBS and the use of L Glutamine to treat it.

I have had a series of tests over the last year for a set of stomach issues; diarrhea, constipation, bloating, a permanent stomach ache, and weight loss. I had a colonoscopy, an endoscopy, a CT scan, an ultrasound, and endless blood and stool tests. Cancer, diabetes, celiac disease, everything was ruled out. My family doctors thinks I have IBS, so, this would be a two part question.
I am a male in my mid 50s and heavyset.

1. What are some good online resources for this, there is a sea of websites, often with contradictory information. I realize there are a lot of posts here on this topic, but I need help winnowing them out.

2. Is L Glutamine a good treatment option? I purchased it in powder form and just started 1 day ago.

No idea on L Glutamine, but here is something obscure someone I know had that wasn't caught by most tests with approx the same symptoms in case you haven't done the test for it (monitoring after drinking something I think?): diseased gallbladder (aka strawberry gallbladder).
