What's a reasonable place to sell jewelry online?

I have a bunch of gold and diamond jewelry that would not be of interest to a place like Worthy.com (i.e., good-quality diamonds but only about .5 carat each, not estate pieces). Where should I sell it?

Any reason you're looking to sell online instead of in-person at a local jewelry shop? Some offer to buy them directly, and others offer consignment.

Just a warning: I did not have a good experience selling a wedding set after my divorce. I only had a third of a carat diamond engagement ring (but it was high quality), and a heavy gold band with diamonds around halfway. Together they cost $1500 (in the late 80s). The most reputable jewelry store in my area, that brags about highest prices paid - offered me $150.00. That's it. The most i could get for my set was $200.00 and that was from a pawn shop.

When I got remarried, I insisted on a cubic zirconia in a real gold band, because I wanted a rock but refused to pay outrageous prices for something I'd never get the value back on.

Good luck.

Response by poster: I know I won't get much for them, but something is better than nothing. I'm looking to sell online because I just assume that in my rural area there would be nowhere to sell locally. Maybe I'm wrong!
