when do I charge sales tax?

I work as a single member LLC, mostly on Upwork. I want to diversify and productize some services, for instance,offer a flat rate consultation session. Should I charge sales tax for that? I live in MA.

Depends on the state but usually services are not taxable. Here are some MA tax authority regulations services..

Are the services performed in MA? Are they performed on-line between states? Your accountant should have the answers you need.
