Batman movies or shows for young kids

One of my four year olds is really into Batman. We have watched the 2016 animated movie voice by Adam West (BM: Return of the Caped Crusader) MANY times. I’ve seen LEGO Batman also. What other Batman movies are appropriate for young kids?

Best answer: Of course, there's Batman: The Animated Series. It's your call on "appropriate" of course.

Best answer: The original live action Batman show with Adam West is pretty tame and lots of fun!

Best answer: As much as I love the 1990's Batman: The Animated Series, it might be a little complex and dark for younger viewers. Try the 2008-2011 Batman: The Brave & The Bold, series which is lighter in tone but still preserves the "All Ages" appeal that made B:TAS such a hit with both kids and adults.

Best answer: Not the first Michael Keaton Batman. My memory of it got blurred with all the other batmen and I put it on for my boys and ALL THESE PEOPLE GETTING SHOT AND BURNED.

My boys did like the Caped Crusader movie and liked it - they also like the original TV series, and the 1966 live action Batman movie. It has diplomats all declaiming at each other at once.

Response by poster: Thanks. I’m seeking to avoid “scary” content. Basically anything that might make a young kid think that Batman was really in danger.

Best answer: If that’s the case, I retract my suggestion for the original Batman show! I remember a lot of situations where the episode ends with Batman tied up or in danger of some kind.

Best answer: Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Superheros Unite is available to buy on Amazon video - it's different than the Lego Batman. There's also several DC Superhero videos on Amazon that include Batman (Flash, Cosmic Clash etc) but don't feature him as the main character.

Best answer: Batman: Brave and the Bold is FABULOUS. Perfect for littler kids and still fun to watch for grown-ups. Highly seconded.

Best answer: I agree with the original batman show. My (then) three year old sister adored it. And she had a low tolerance for scary.

Best answer: Agreeing whole heartedly with the Batman Brave & the Bold recommendation. My son was around 4-5 years old when it came out and we started watching together. I think it's the perfect introduction to the character. The plots are pretty goofy and silly instead of dangerous and threatening, plus it has the BEST representation of Aquaman in any medium ever. I unreservedly love this show.

Best answer: Nthing Batman: The Brave & The Bold. That's the one you want. And best thing about it is that it is even entertaining to an adult (which for me is a prerequisite for any and all programming to be collectively watched by a child and their adult)

Best answer: It's it's on the old side but the Filmation Batman series (on the video store shelves under the title of the New Adventures of Batman and Robin) or the Super Friends show would probably work. They not anywhere close to being as sophisticated or meta as the newer content, but they were designed to be very kid friendly.
