MS Outlook 2003 Calendar print issue

Help me beat MS Office Outlook 2003's calendar print function into submission.
I'd like to print a monthly calendar using a range of specified dates. I'm able to select the dates I want, but when I try to print, it defaults to the daily, rather than monthly, style calendar.
In the print menu, I've selected monthly as the print style and specified the days I want in the print range. I've tried both selecting and unselecting 'print exactly one month per page' in Page Setup: Monthly Style, and every other damn print option combination I can think of, yet nothing results in the style I want. (A calendar in monthly format showing only February 17-28)
The maddening thing is I remember that I've been able to do this before, but I can't figure out how. Google, AskMefi and the insufferable MS Office Online/Help features have all failed me.
Now it's personal. Any help?

Response by poster: Taskpad unchecked, no change. Thanks, though kenchie!
