I am a massive fan of this kind of retro-pop goodness. Not so big on the rest of the Elephant 6 crew (except for early Of Montreal), and I've already been down the Belle & Sebastian road. Let me know what else I'm missing out on!

Here are two of my favorite songs to give you an idea:

The Essex Green - The Late Great Cassiopia

The Minders - Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

Jellyfish, specifically the album Bellybutton. Here's an example of a track.

It's very hard to go wrong with XTC. Click this link: you won't be disappointed.

Math and Physics Club!

Also as the world's biggest Tullycraft fan, I'm obligated to mention Tullycraft. I'd especially recommend the tribute album Wish I'd Kept a Scrapbook as a road to discovering new bands. This transcendent cover of "Our Days in Kansas" by Darren Hanlon and Rose Melberg and Fishboy's cover of Rumble with the Gang Debs are special favorites.

This is kind of fountains of Wayne's niche, if you haven't listened to them beyond Stacy's mom
