Roots touch up

Best solution out there for frequent root touch ups for dyed hair? There are so many options and I don't know where to start.
I color my hair at home with regular box dye. I do this about once a month but I have a lot of new post-baby hair (baby is now a 2 year old toddler haha) and I don't like having gray roots showing nor do I want to mix dye and do touch ups every three days.
Any suggestions for quick touch ups? I've seen many options with many different prices. I don't mind a more expensive fix as long as it's fast to use and doesn't come off on my fingers.

I use a root touch-up product to temporarily cover my roots in between my own touch-up dyes at home in between my quarterly trips to the salon. Bumble and Bumble's Color Stick in brown is perfect for my dark medium-brown hair and serious gray stripe. It goes on like a soft crayon, like a Crayola twistable but softer and looks great. It barely comes off on my hair, does not come off on my pillow, washes out with no extra effort in the shower. If I don't wash my hair for a full day, I may apply a little more. $26 at Sephora or Ulta. You can sample the colors at Sephora (not sure about Ulta). I've used 4 different products and this is the best. Due to a shoulder injury, I went over 4 weeks and this color stick worked beautifully on my strikingly contrasting skunk stripe.

Response by poster: Thanks! I got a spray similar to the L’oreal one yesterday at a pharmacy for an emergency (fancy dinner) but the Christophe Robin one looks just like what I’m looking for.
Might also try the crayon-like stick for different situations. I hate coloring my hair and all these would let me go longer between colorings.
