Bag check at Brooklyn Museum?

Does the bag check at the Brooklyn Museum accept carry-on size bags?

Thanks to a scheduling quirk and an evening flight, the lovely mrs. pdb and I are going to David Bowie Is at the Brooklyn Museum on the day we fly out of NYC next week. We can't get an answer from the museum about their bag check facility, though (we tried tweeting them and emailing, and got no response either way).

We're checking out of our hotel, going to the museum, then heading to the airport straight from the museum. Does anyone know if the museum's bag/coat check can accommodate carry-on sized bags?

This is a non-answer, but there's a company called LuggageHero that lets you book luggage storage in shops, which may be an alternate option. I've never used it and only know it exists because I work in a touristy part of Manhattan and walk past a shop that advertises the service. But it's perhaps something to investigate if you can't get an answer.

Is there a reason you can't call them on the telephone?

I was also going to suggest phoning that same number. If you don't like talking on the phone, memail me and I'll do it for you.

Just anecdotal, but I was there last month and saw some pretty large, luggage-looking bags checked in.

If worse comes to worst, the hotel should be able to store them for a few hours

I have the same anecdata as jrchaplin, from last week. There were some big bags and I made a mental note in case our hotel wouldn’t hold ours for our last day.

Go see the Ahmed Mater stuff on the ?4th floor if you have time, it’s phenomenal work. What a good museum.
