Where do I get big rolls of wrapping paper?

I'm tired of buying tiny rolls of wrapping paper. At Christmas, we picked up a giant double-sided roll of wrapping paper from Costco. It was awesome! But now I need non-holiday paper. Where can I get similar quality AND quantity? I'm very unimpressed with the offerings from Target, Walgreens, Walmart...

Best answer: I like Uline.

There are other options with more patterned paper, like Paper Mart, but you may have to buy in super bulk.

Best answer: Uline makes right-wing politics part of their business, if you care about that when you choose who to do business with

Best answer: Paper Source and Papyrus has stores in Seattle and Bellevue.

Best answer: I did a bit of searching for this myself for an Etsy shop. I ended up going with IKEA. The printed 3 pack is 2.3ft rolls at 9.84ft long (over 29ft length total) for $4.99. I also like the neutral designs on them. The basic color ones are even longer $1.99 per roll.

I've also seen people use Kraft or butcher style paper with appropriate decorative ribbon and stamping/marker/paint.

Best answer: I love using kraft paper! Michael’s often has it in several colors and neutrals and the rolls are sizeable and last a really long time. It just has a nice feel to it, and I dress it up for the occasion with different types of ribbon — jute, organza, gingham, shiny satin, whatever.

Best answer: Also a big fan of the IKEA paper, like Crystalline. The come out with new styles every season and their holiday paper is sometimes neutral enough to use year round.

Very out there but I just ordered a ton through taobao.com. aliexpress.com is probably the more user friendly version for this.

I had previously bulk ordered kraft paper bags in multiple sizes and bought big packs of coloured tissue paper to wrap things to go inside, with ribbons to tie thwm close. Easy and pretty.

The best rolls of gift wrap I've found were at Target before/during the Christmas holidays. They sell "half-size" rolls for $1 each. They're half the 'height' of regular rolls which in 99% of the gifts I wrap there is zero waste due to the paper being too big for the package I'm wrapping. I wish this would become the norm for gift wrap, but I've only ever seen them at Target. Occasionally they'll have different, non-holiday, patterns, so maybe you can check with them to see what the availability is.

Best answer: Homegoods often has beautiful, high quality wrapping paper near the checkouts.

Best answer: Oh Oh Oh! TJ Maxx!!! I got some ADORABLE gummy bear paper there. It seems they have gift wrap year round for pretty cheap but it may be by the checkout area and vary by location.

Best answer: Sorry for the obvious question, but does your Costco not still have some non-holiday-patterned rolls tucked away somewhere? Like you, I love the giant rolls, and I always got packs of both holiday and non-holiday patterns at Costco when I lived near one. The packs intended for birthday gifts often included at least one roll neutral enough to use for other things.

Best answer: If you have a kiddo in your life who does a wrapping paper fundraiser for school, check there-most if the stuff you get through these fundraisers is pretty crappy, but I’ve had great luck with the thick, double sided wrapping paper.

Response by poster: Thanks folks :)

I haven't seen non-holiday paper at the two Costcos I use, but I could have missed it. Doesn't seem like they have any on their website either. :( I'll probably go with kraft paper until my next Ikea trip.

My oldest is just entering kindergarten so we haven't encountered school fundraisers yet.

Thanks to aubilenon, I totally retract my recommendation of ULINE. That CEO message is nuts.
