Can't Edit Audience in Boosted Facebook Post

I am a new, wary user of Facebook. Boosted posts have been working fine until recently. Now, for some reasons, I can't change a former set of locations and audience preferences before boosting the post. Facebook is calling those formerly used preferences "default" when I never intended it to be a default.
When I click "Edit Audience", another screen overlays that lets me make all of the changes I want. But there is no save button, only an X or a close button. When I click either, the "default" preference remain and there is no way to save what I tried to change. What has happened?

Response by poster: For as many people as are on FB, and for all of the money it makes from boosted posts, I don't understand why there aren't more commenters. What did we do to offend the almighty Zuck?

I don't boost fb posts, but I will say that every single time a screen appears to have no/no clickable way to make it "go", it's been either AdBlock Plus or Ghostery that is responsible. You might try temporarily turning off your ad blockers/extensions.

Response by poster: So AdBlock Plus or Ghostery at some point, prevents me from accessing Edit Audience until I at least temporarily unblock ad blockers and extensions?

I don't know. I don't use that feature. Did you try it?
