Lightweight quick-drying travel underwear for kids
April 28, 2018 8:33 AM   Subscribe

Our family will be traveling in Europe for three weeks. We want to pack clothes that are compact, lightweight, and that will dry quickly after being washed. Kids current underwear is thick cotton from Hanna Andersson. Good quality, but not ideal for traveling.

Kids are 7 year-old girl and 12 year-old boy. Can anyone recommend light, quick-drying, compact underwear that will also be comfortable in warm weather climates?

Thanks in advance.

My wife and I travel a lot on minimal packing. I've not ever found drying normal cotton underwear to be a burden. Radiators and heated towel racks are very helpful.

Go for super thin cotton undies. Those tend to be found at Target, JC Pennys, etc.

My boys wore these on a similar trip, and when backpacking etc. The only downside is they like them better than their regular ones, but they are too expensive to buy that many!

Any chance they’d fit into the smallest of the adult-sized underwear from icebreaker? They’re my absolute favorite underwear in the world for traveling (including in hot areas) due to how comfortable & moisture-wicking they are, plus how easy they are to wash.

Uniqlo Airism underwear is light weight, comfortable, and fast drying, and is usually much less expensive than travel alternatives (but more expensive than some, of course.)

Girls

I've travelled for a month in Europe with the adult version of these, and they are great.
