I once saw a censored version of the Blues Brothers which was particularly notable for the scene where Sister Mary goes after them both for swearing. In the overdub they're just saying "Shoot!" "Gosh!" "Darn!" so it looks like she's just beating them with a yardstick for no reason.
Other people have seen this version so I know it wasn't a fever dream, but the best I've found so far are bleeped versions. All I'm really looking for is the nun scene. Can anyone help?

Tell Me No Lies: In some instances, films licensed for TV broadcast were redubbed to the demands of the network buying the film's rights; the network broadcsting the picture would add its own substitutions once they received a print reel from the studio.
This led to a number of dubs floating about the syndicated airwaves, with a few proprietary to their own station/area. Bleeping came back into vogue as it allowed a more standardized form of edit for a wider number of (sub)markets.

I remember seeing that version, too, and it was being shown by a local network affiliate as local programming. It must have been part of a syndication package of movies sold to local stations, and so it may have been a version unique to that package.
I've seen a number of different TV edits of Blazing Saddles over the years, with different scenes or lines included or excluded to conform to changing standards of broadcast acceptability.
