Amazing weekend: Atlanta Edition

Wife and I will be staying in downtown Atlanta this weekend. Help us plan for an amazing and unique couple of days!
We won't have a car, and will be staying near the Aquarium, and we're looking for fun, interesting, and unique things to do on Friday and Saturday. We're already going to the Aquarium and doing the tank swim, but still looking for other fun and different things to do.
We would definitely love suggestions related to:
- Not well known history or sights (likely already going to Atlanta History museum)
- Great food/wine/ambience
- Unique/different/little-known places, events, etc.
Thanks!

If you think the atrium of the Marriot Marquis looks like a Sci-Fi movie set, well, it has been. Bring a camera. Located 0.6 mile from the aquarium. Link is to Google Images.

Fox Bros. BBQ was pretty awesome for both food and atmosphere. Not sure about public transport to get there, but it wasn't a super long drive.

Oakland Cemetery is definitely fun/interesting/unique and historical!

Dining Suggestions:
Get over to the Westside and have a meal at Miller Union. You *must* order the farm egg in celery cream as a starter. Everything here is delicious - even the vegetable plate is a delight. In that same general area, there are two other restaurant stops that would be worth your time: Bocado (home to arguably the best burger in Atlanta) and The Optimist (a fancy fish camp in a beautiful, soaring dining room). One last suggestion would be Taquería del Sol (the one on Howell Mill) - get a margarita, some chips & queso, and a couple of tacos and you're set for a great meal! Enjoy the city!

Go wander around Cabbagetown - amazing street art, great artsy houses and neighborhood, and you can get good pizza at Cabbage Pie. Decent brunch too (there's like three or four restaurants on the main drag; you won't get confused!) That's a good early evening activity if you can stand the heat, and easy to do with Oakland Cemetary as well.
Again, if you can stand the heat, I would do the Beltline on Friday - it gets fucking insane on the weekends. Here's what I previously wrote for this question.
What do you like? What do you want to do? Are you game to wander in the heat? Do you want to be in the woods? Do you want to look at "culture"?

I recommended it in the previous Atlanta food question, but since that was more vegan based, it didn't land well.
You HAVE to go to The Food Shoppe (sorry for the Yelp link, but they don't seem to have a website). It doesn't look like much from either the inside or out, but it's absolutely amazing. AMAZING. The highlights from our last visit were the Pasta Ya Ya (shrimp and andouille) and the Shrimp and Grits (shrimp and grits).
And save room for bread pudding.

When I lived in Atlanta, I was fortunate to live near Your Dekalb Farmers Market, better link. It's not a farmer's market like you're probably thinking; it's a giant warehouse-sized grocery store with food from every tiny corner of the world. If you're even slightly interested in food, it's a must-see.
It is accessible from MARTA.

Ride MARTA's Blue line east. Near King Memorial Station is the Old Fourth Ward, with interesting eats, and a few blocks east is the ML King Jr. Memorial. He's a hero we need right now.
Further east near Inman Park station is the Krog Street Market with some very good eats and access to walk or (rental) bike the Beltline, with more interesting eats and some good public art and people watching. Another nearby area is Little Five Points, with yet still more interesting eats, including Fox Bros. BBQ which is The. Real. Deal. Also more funky shopping and people watching.
Downtown Decatur is a few more stops east. There are several good-to-great restaurants within about 200 feet of the station exit. Just down the block: Butter & Cream, an ice cream shop, has Cashew Crème Brûlée as a flavor. Please try some, and come back to thank me. Also has nice shopping and small town ambience. It's the county seat of DeKalb County and the old courthouse has some history exhibits.
Lived in ATL most of my life near this side of town, and I work downtown, and it's pretty great. I could go on! ATL!!!
