Looking for a twitter app

I need suggestions for a twitter app that would just let me type what I want, then then automatically post it broken into two tweets if need be. Is there one that does that? Someone suggested Hootsuite to me, but it doesn't do what I want it to. I use android.

I know, use the 140 character limit as intended. Be concise. Don't clutter up Twitter.

Shhhh. I'm old and tired. If I post 150 characters, I don't want to stand there figuring out what to delete.

This was posted in metafilter projects awhile ago. It's not quite automatic, but it splits it out and there's a button you can click to post the split tweets for you.

I am not certain how well it works on mobile devices, but you could give it a shot and see?

It's possible this works via straight up text message to a short code? (Where it all began!)

According to support, your phone might break up messages over 160 into multiple tweets for you. No telling what twitter does when it gets over 140 in an SMS, but I suspect it does what we're seeing certain President-Elects do, and strings out your single text over multiple tweets.

Tweetstorm did that, but it appears to be down due to Twitter API issues. Somebody I follow regularly drops 10-20 tweet tweetstorms on Twitter. I can't imagine she is doing it manually.

This looks like an Android apps that enables that.
