Good food near Beacon Hill?

I'm looking for a breakfast place and a dinner place in/around Beacon Hill in Boston. Can you recommend something tasty?
The Paramount has good solid breakfast, and its ordering/seating system and the way it magically works fascinates me every time I go.

Last time I was there I went to Tatte Bakery for a great croissant and they also had tasty looking breakfast stuff. Small funky place. I liked it a lot

Skip the Paramount and go to Panificio for breakfast/brunch. I went there every Sunday for the five years I lived there. The lines at the Paramount aren't worth it.
Need more spec on dinner. Price range? Alone or with others?

What kind of breakfast? Capitol Coffee has your diner-iffic goodness covered, and they're open on Saturdays until 1 pm. Plus the guys who work there are great. I've known them for almost 10 years. When Boston experienced a brief two day boil water order (for consumption and bathing) about 7 years ago, they used bottled water in their coffee makers while everyone else pretty much just closed down. I love that place. I haven't been much since my office move, but it's one of my favorite places.
For dinner, there's no shortage of places. The Grotto is excellent as is 21st Amendment and Carrie Nation. Emmet's has your pub style covered and 6B your slightly higher end pub style. If you venture down the hill away from downtown, Kinsale is excellent, and Tip Tap room amazing.
Other than that, you've got the entirety of downtown --- Downtown Crossing, Chinatown, Charles Street, etc that all have a gazillion places to eat. I have a ton I could recommend, but I'm sticking to the immediate Beacon Hill area for now.

Walk across the common then another block or two into Bay Village and go to Mike and Patty's for the best breakfast sandwiches in Boston. There are only four seats so plan to take it out.

No. 9 Park may be the best Beacon Hill restaurant, if price is no object.

Response by poster: It'll be three people. We're looking for $25/plate or less for dinner (nothing super-fancy).
I'd know where to go in Medford/Somerville, but Boston proper is still a mystery to me! Thanks for all the suggestions on breakfast.

It's not on the Hill (but is a very short walk from, say, the Statehouse, but Silvertone on Bromfield has tasty comfort food and good drinks in your price range.
