Help me replace my peacoat

I have a wonderful peacoat with a hood that I have worn out (it is threadbare and beyond care). I've been searching for a replacement for the past 5 winters and can't find one that meets my specs. Does my jacket exist anywhere or should I have it made?

My jacket is:
-wool or a wool blend
-lined
-double breasted
-has a hood
-looks professional
-is 2x

I've looked at Nordstrom, Macy's, JCP, and tried Google but I either find options without the hood or that aren't plus sized. I originally bought my jacket at JCP in 2007 and haven't seen a similar style since.

I've considered looking at men's clothing but don't know how they'd fit through the bust. I'm open to having someone make a jacket for me but I don't know any tailors or garment makers in Seattle. Help me find this jacket or someone who could make it.

Here's a double-breasted hooded peacoat in 2X from ModCloth, though synthetic (and a bit whimsical IMO but YMMV). They have a couple other hooded peacoats in 2X that either aren't wool or aren't double breasted (as well as plenty of hoodless options!), but I'd keep checking as we get closer to winter, they should have more selection soon!

Similarly, the Excelled Hooded Peacoat from Kohl's ticks all your boxes except that it doesn't contain wool.

Lands End and LL Bean have both in the past sold double-breasted wool coats with hoods in plus sizes. I didn't look carefully enough to see what they have in stock right now, but it's worth perusing, both on their sites and on ebay, to see whether you can find what you need.

Have you tried an Army/Navy surplus store? I got my first (and most favorite) peacoat from one such, and have never found its equal from any regular retail or online stores.

The Lands End wool peacoat meets your requirements except for the hood. Sizing up to 26W. I can speak to the quality, which is better than most stuff I've seen in department stores. I've owned two of these peacoats over the years; my most recent one is from 2014 and it's just lovely. I bought a wool car coat from Lands End last year that is also quite nice and very professional, but it is single-breasted and also has no hood.

Be careful with ModCloth. Some of their items are of very low quality.

Since people are recommending peacoats without hoods, I'll go ahead and recommend the Sterlingwear Boston Navigator, which is the same jacket they manufacture for the US Navy but with a satin lining. They also have some will blend jackets that are not as authentic but probably more comfortable. Nothing with hoods, sorry.

Try eBay. Here's one (new).

Response by poster: Ooh! Not the Kohls jacket that was linked to but that page led me to this jacket which hit all the boxes so I ordered it.

Living in Seattle and not using an umbrella makes the hood more of a necessity than it would be in other areas. I have a non hooded peacoat but I tend to wear the hooded one when it's wet out.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
