Go-go music?

Can anyone recommend "go-go" music like that found in the movie "Riot on Sunset Strip?" It's the groovy stuff from the '60's, not the music-style popular in DC.
Haven't seen the movie either, but the Las Vegas Grind series has a lot of great 60's go-go / stripper music.

Well, the "best ofs" the Chocolate Watchband and Standells would be obvious choices. Ditto Sonics, We The People, Dunwich Records vol 2 compilation. Or if you want to drown in sound, there's plenty of good stuff on the Nuggets box.

Bacharach. Soundtrack. Casino Royale, Jack.
That theme alone — played by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass — brings back the caged babes, all a-shimmy!

Second the Pizzicato Five suggestion. You should also check out the Sugar Twins -- "Mood Ring" and "Patio-A-Go-Go" are my faves.

The following compilations are all indepensible:
The Sound Gallery Vols. 1 & 2
The Sound Spectrum
Blow Up A Go-Go
Exclusive Blend Vols. 1-4
In-Flight Entertainment Vols. 1 & 2
Espresso Espresso
Ready Steady Boogaloo
There are loads more out there along similar lines. The KPM library archives are full of hammond-flavoured mood music, up-tempo psychedelic freak-outs and wah-wah romps.
Other things to look out for: Crippled Dick Hot Wax has some excellent Italian soundtrack stuff, like the Beat At Cinecitta series, the Vampyros Lesbos and Schulmadchen Report soundtracks, and the Irma label also has some great Italian 60's funky jazz easy listening cocktail go-go beat stuff (mostly on the La Douce imprint - the other stuff is more contemporary, and therefore not as good).

One of my favorite cd's is the soundtrack of Vampyros Lesbos, a German vampire lesbian soft-core porn film. Groovy, great at a party. Apparently it's currently out of print but will be re-released next month by Crippled Dick. Oops, on preview, what nylon said. I personally prefer this over Das Schulmadchen Report.

Given my username, I enthusiastically echo nylon's sentiments.
Also on Crippled Dick, check out the Pop Shopping compilations. Groovy German advertising music from the 60's and 70's.
