Google Apps for your Domain - for free?

Google Apps used to be free when you only required a single email account with your own domain, using this App Engine trick. Does it still work?

When I go to that page I get a "New Application Creation is disabled." message. Do you see that?

Google withdrew the free service for new customers on December 6, 2012 and the article that describes the loophole is from very shortly after that date. I would imagine that the loophole did not remain open for long.
