Criminal defense attorney in Atlanta?

I'm looking for a good criminal defense attorney in Atlanta who can help with a first degree forgery charge. I'm also looking for help to find an attorney online, as nobody involved lives in Georgia.

A family member of mine needs an attorney for a forgery charge (first degree) and also a false statement charge - this isn't about forging checks, it's about having two driver's licenses. He is currently being held in another state (where he and our family live) awaiting transfer. I'm looking for an attorney in Atlanta who:

* Can correspond with someone who lives in another state (same time zone)
* Doesn't cost a fortune (this is a working class family)
* Has experience with these sorts of charges

Does anyone have any personal recommendations or ways to help me find one? Right now i'm aware of avvo.com and that's about it.

Response by poster: Just to clarify, the charges are in Fulton county.

A friend who's a non-trial attorney in ATL recommended you look at this firm. They mentioned that getting Garland would be expensive but one of his associates would perhaps be in range. Alternatively check out this one, DUI focused but also does some general defense as well. Both come recommended by reputation, though neither one of us has personal experience with them for what it's worth. Again too remember for price it'll be cheaper to go with one of the associates at the firm rather than the name itself.
