what is this bug swarming on my wall?

Came home to suddenly find these bugs all over the south wall over house. They are running along the ground and up the wall at least five feet. I don't even know what type of spray to get to get rid of them.

Some have come under the door sill into the garage. It does't look like they have any particular destination. Small, dark, oval body, 6 legs, possibly wings or just good jumpers but almost are all on the wall or ground so not primarily flying. Link to photo here.

Response by poster: In Northern California near San Jose. Weather has been warm but not unusually hot. Very dry, of course, but not near any fires.

Response by poster: Probably not seed bugs since they are not red on the head and chest. Head and upper body is black. The center of the lower body is brown with black and brown stripes along either side.

Take a close up of these bugs. Don't assume you have to do anything, just yet. Maybe they aren't the fulminating fatal biting carpet beetles of death. They look kind of like Box Elder bugs, but the picture isn't big enough to identify them. Sometimes bugs have a part in the lifecycle of a tree, or fruit, and are not bad.

Pretty sure this is the same bug that I had at my place in Tucson back in April. I found this page that describes them pretty well, maybe the same thing: http://bugeric.blogspot.com/2010/07/false-chinch-bugs.html

I think I've had those flying around down herein LA. At night, and they seem to like light. I thought one was a cockroach until it flew.
