How do I view a .gi file on a Mac?

I've got an image burned by a DVD program that was provided to me on a USB drive. There are 3 files: x.gi, x (1_0).gi, and x (1_1).gi. Is there a way to watch these using VLC or to otherwise convert and view them on a Mac?

apparently a program called gumby can convert them to iso files, which can then be mounted. however, it seems to be discontinued, so i don't know if it will work. some other image conversion format might (in short, it's a disk image, in a format made by a certain dvd ripper).

Response by poster: I saw that, but I cannot find the program to download it.

You can download it here, but it doesn't appear to be Yosemite compliant (crossed out in Finder.)

Best answer: huh. well, i went looking for a linux tool, and it seems that it's basically just iso. see http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/CD_Image_Conversion#gg2iso

if that's true then you only need to work out which files are appropriate, and the order (i assume a mac would handle iso automatically).

Warning: I went to the link in bluecore's post on my iPad and got hammered by one of those scam "Your iOS is frozen by a security breach. Call 800 number to unfreeze" warnings. I had to delete Safari's cache and reset my iPad to get things working again.

Oops, sorry. I'm on a laptop with Adblock, Disconnect, Privacy Badger, and Ghostery installed, so I saw no popups, otherwise I wouldn't have linked it.
