Where are my Linkedin updates?

LinkedIn offers users of its service three ways to post new information to individual accounts - share an update, upload a presentation or publish a post. I've shared many updates and when I click refresh, the post disappears while the post that was just below my post remains. I can scroll down hours and not see the update I shared seconds before. What happened to it?

Response by poster: When I say "post", I'm used to thinking in terms of blogging but I mean "update".

LinkedIn has a funny way of showing (or not showing) you your own updates. I can't directly answer the question, but it's probable that your updates are being shown to your network, at least those members of your network who happened to see it go by.

If you're just interested in re-reading your own updates (or to make sure that it did in fact get written/posted), you can do that by hovering over the top bar menu, then hovering over "Profile" which appears second from the left (one over from "Home"), then selecting "Your Updates" from the resulting dropdown menu. I don't see a way to see anything other than "recent." I thought the "published" option would do it, but publishing something is different than just "posting" it. They don't make this super easy to find...
