Song called "Man With the X-Ray Eyes"?

Trying to find a song, released between 1988 and 1992, called "The Man With the X-Ray Eyes", or "Man With the X-Ray Eyes", or something like that.

I am trying to find a song called "The Man With the X-Ray Eyes", or "Man With the X-Ray Eyes" or something like that. This is not the Bauhaus song, and it would have been released sometime between about 1988 and 1992.

This would have been an extremely obscure band, the sort that was only played on college radio. The only distinct lyric I remember is "I'm the man with the x-ray eyes, so don't give me that babytalk". Needless to say, Google returns nothing when I search with that phrase. The song ends with the singer repeating "X-ray X-ray X-ray ... Eyes".

Any ideas?

Is it Eye Eye - X-Ray Eyes?

Response by poster: No, it wasn't Eye Eye. The song and artist I'm thinking of was even more obscure than that. The genre was college station type indie rock, not 80's synth rock.

Babylon zoo, boy with the x-ray eyes? Ends with bionic, bionic, bionic eyes... Out in 1996.

Response by poster: No, years too late. And not quite the right genre.

This is going to be super obscure, I should warn everyone. As in, if there's a Wikipedia page for the band, it almost certainly isn't them.

How about "X-Ray Eyes" by 3D (1980)

Or "X-Ray Eyes" by Jim Foster (1986)

Walter Clevenger? Can't find it on youtube but it was also the album title.

"I can see what you're doing to me / I'm the man with the x ray eyes"

Cacophony?

Response by poster: The 3D, Cacophony, and Jim Foster tracks aren't it -- this isn't synth pop or hair metal, I remember that.

The Walter Clevenger song "X-ray Eyes" is closer to the genre of the song I remember, but it's not it. And it's at least 5 years too late.

On the off chance you misremembered the 'X-Ray' part and because it was absolutely an obscure, only-on-a-college-station type of album... The Man With the Corkscrew Eyes by Tumor Circus? (1991)

Could it possibly be The Boy with X-Ray Eyes by Stormclouds? It's track 12 on the linked compilation, which came in 1997, but comprised of stuff from earlier obscure 7" records from the UK and Spain, one of which might have ended up at a local college station.

Response by poster: It's not a Tumor ... Circus song, or at least not that one. But thanks for linking to that -- I had no idea Steelpole Bathtub collaborated with Jello Biafra.

And not the Stormclouds song, either.

Response by poster: I managed to figure it out a few days after posting -- it turns out it's "The Man W/The X-Ray Eyes" by The Baltek, off of the album Rain Pain Butane. Someone twigged me to the search feature on discogs.com; its good for situations like these, with obscure songs where you know the title or part of the title.
