Can you help me find examples of logos that pull elements from, are influenced by state flags?
Maryland's state flag is very popular among football teams.

The now-relocated Colorado Rockies of the NHL (not the baseball team).

While DC is not technically a state (and thus we unfairly have no representation), it does have an outstanding flag. And it has more people than Wyoming. There are a lot of places that incorporate its fantastic design into their logo, but the first thing that occurred to me were local breweries:

- Chocolate City Beer
- Three Stars Brewing
- DC Brau
- Capitol City Brewing
- And just generally: DC Beer.

Texas's Lone Star flag shows up a bunch of places, including the helmets of the Houston Texans football team.
The Lone Star is also on the Dallas Cowboys' helmets, though the colors aren't used.
Speaking of teams from Houston, the Tennessee Titans use the 3-star Tennessee flag logo in their logo.

DC's flag is so iconic and iconoclastic
Note it's a component of the Purple Heart. I don't know which came first.

The Purple Heart incorporated it first, but the design is from George Washington's coat of arms, which dates to the 12th Century.

Yet another NHL one: Quebec Nordiques jerseys, though that's for a Canadian province and not an American state.
And, here's a a campground in Santa Fe, NM.
Maybe not quite exactly what you're looking for, but the University of South Carolina logo prominently features a stylized palmetto.

The bear from the Bank of the West logo is pretty much the bear on the California state flag.
