24-hour or late night veg-friendly grocery stores in San Antonio, TX?

I'm going to fly into San Antonio, TX, tomorrow night (Saturday) and need to pick up some groceries on my way to a remote residency. I'm a vegetarian, so I'd prefer Whole Foods/Trader Joe's but I'm scheduled to arrive at the airport at 8:50pm with checked luggage and a rental car hire so I think I'm going to miss both closings (10pm/9pm respectively). Any other good stores with natural/vegetarian offerings and a 24 hour grocery in the region (maybe a Super Target)? Ideally on the way or not too far off the route from San Antonio to Medina?

The H E B's in the area are open until 12 am.

Best answer: H-E-B Alon Market is nearish to your drive and is open until midnight, and has a large selection of specialty foods (organic, kosher, etc).

Other H-E-B stores may be hit or miss depending on the neighborhood and what products you're looking for.

Sprouts is right up your alley and is right on your path, unlike Whole Food/Trader Joes, but it closes at 10.

I think the H-E-B at 410 and Bandera (5601 Bandera Road) is a good quality grocery store, which should have what you're looking for, and a little more on the way than the Alon Market. If you are headed to Medina via US-90, its on the way (although the wrong side of the freeway) and it is open until Midnight.

I'm a vegetarian, and I can tell you, you shouldn't have any problem with HEB. I did prefer other places back when I lived in the area, but HEB is fine for purposes of just picking up a bunch of groceries to tide yourself over on a trip.

Response by poster: Went to the HEB Alon as I didn't see China Grover's answer about the Bandera one until now. I've never even heard of this chain before so I would've been definitely less prepared without your answers. The store was open and had sufficient grocery items, so thanks all! (Also, my bank decided my identity was stolen and shut my cards down upon attempting to pay, so I can also add that the staff are very kind to harried travelers and will lend you their cell phones if you need to call your bank to unlock your cards again but you left your own almost dead cell in the car and it's raining outside.)
