Father Daughter Dance Song Ideas, non cheesy, awesome songs edition

So I'm getting married. My dad and I are close, and have always shared a special bond over music. I wanted to make him a kind of "daddy daughter song" mixed tape, and give it to him with the directive to pick his favorite for us to dance to.

Though it seems I've spent most of my life thinking about the songs I would want played at my wedding, I seem to be coming up short, and can't remember what I've stored away. The Google is no good on this one, as most people seem to suggest cheesy, cliche songs. I'm hoping the hive can give me some inspiration and direction.

So far I have :
The Pretenders - "I'll Stand By You"
Billy Joel - "Lullaby" ( I know this is a cheesy one, but this song is special to us already)
Stevie Nicks - "Landslide"

Three songs does not a playlist make, so I need help.

Things we like - soul classics, blues classics, rock classics (Beatles, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, etc etc), and Wilco, both love Wilco and other alt-country sounds.

Help me complete my playlist!

What about The Milk Carton Kids - Charlie? It's written for a hypothetical, someday daughter but is still lovely, and might fit your desired sound. Not sure it's terribly danceable.

If you like alt-country you might know the Jayhawks. If so, do you know that they used to back up Joe Henry? Take a listen to Like She Was A Hammer. It's post-Jayhawks but oh so good.

The Way You Look Tonight. Jazzy rather than alt-country, but I suspect there may be covers.

Stardust, Willie Nelson. There are other versions but that's the best one.

At my wedding it was The Way You Look Tonight. Sinatra, not Bubble (shudder.)

We did a slow jitterbug to it. People were impressed that my dad can dance.

Any Irishness in your fam? My Irish-American mom and I danced to When Irish Eyes Are Smiling at my wedding and imo it was cheesy but really grand, just grand.

I'm the mother (which might matter to some in terms of lyrics) of a 25 year old daughter. When she was little The Ramones' She's a Sensation was her song—these days, I like Sparkle and Shine by Steve Earle.

"Summertime" done by Peter Gabriel with the soulful harmonica of Adler version 1 with Perlman and version 2 with Mr. Gabriel. I like the mournfulness of the harmonica.

I can't believe nobody has yet mentioned the duet Natalie Cole did (dubbed in post mortem, iirc) with Nat King Cole, Unforgettable. It's not cheesy to me, but ymmv.
