Crate + freight, LTL shipping from Los Angeles to Sunnyvale

I need to ship a large apparatus (think something like a Poang Chair, but taller and more delicate) from downtown Los Angeles to Sunnyvale, CA. Can you recommend a local crater/freighter that won't break the bank?

I mostly need the crating service.

I've used Quality Packing and Crating before, pricing will depend on size but something roughly Poang-like would be under $200, I'd guess. They just do the crating part, will come to you and are usually pretty timely.

For the shipping part of it, there's obviously the big ones like Fedex/UPS Freight, or there's uShip, where you can get independent carriers to bid on your job. I've had mixed luck with uShip, sometimes it's fine, other times I got a real mess of a driver who kept having delays and generally was a mess to deal with, it sounded like someone in a rough spot in life but was really difficult as it was for a business matter, not personal. Still, their site has ratings so just make sure you get someone with good reviews.
