Good Mandarin tutors in NYC?

This is a followup to this question.
I work in Manhattan, live in Forest Hills Queens. I'd prefer a tutor because they move faster, and for something like this I want the ability to really control my learning. Ideally it'd be someone who knows how to teach a very difficult language to native english speakers, and knows how to tech pronunciation. Goal wise, I want to focus much more on conversation than reading or writing (per the previous question). Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
I will be in NYC between Sep 29 and Oct 9 and can give you a very solid jumpstart and help you organize your approach. I have spent 11.5 years living in China and can speak conversational Mandarin unhesitatingly. I understand, can explain, and can coach you on standard Mandarin pronunciation, and am the soul of patience. MeFiMail or email me with any questions you might have. :)

I have used My Personal Language Tutor and really loved it. They host the tutorial sessions via Skype, and depending on your level of skill, can offer you anything from basic instruction to a full-hour session of language immersion. They do offer Mandarin.
Plus, it's very convenient and really inexpensive at $20/hour.

Not local, but I highly recommend lessons over skype or webex through verbalplanet.com. You can get lessons from a 'local' and because of the cheaper cost of living in China, lessons will be much cheaper. Just make sure to check the reviews so you pick someone experienced.
