SPSS for a Mac

Does anyone know if there is a trial version of SPSS to download for a Mac? I tried downloading a free trial, but I didn't trust the website that I was on. Are there add-ons for excel that would allow me to do this? Any suggestions are welcome.

Best answer: Here's the link for a trial version to SPSS. Note it's an IBM product, so it's hosted on the IBM.com domain.

Do you absolutely need SPSS or just SPSS-like functionality? If it's the latter, you could look into R, which is great open source software for statistical computing (it's much, much better than SPSS unless you want drop-down menus to avoid having to write code).

Another option is PSPP, which aims to be an free and open source alternative to SPSS. I haven't used it but they claim it is very similar.

Seconding snaw: R is the future, and works fine on Macs. It can open SPSS save files, too.
