ok heres a toughie, im 24, when i was really younger say around 10 i had this childrens book, i vaguely remember anything about it ...

i THINK it was about 2 kids, a boy and girl, and a bear, or monster of some sort... it was amazingly artworked, real nice, it was a large book with big pages.. heres the thing, it was set to classical music and came with an audio tape that went along with the story, i think the kids used weopons of some sort to attack the bear/monster.... any one remember anything like this??

You might try the abebooks BOOKSLEUTH forum.

The folks there are vastly knowledgeable and often find titles based on questions like yours in minutes.

Fun to read too.

Best answer: Sounds a little like Peter and the Wolf, only the characters you mention don't quite match.

Expat, thanks for the link to Booksleuth, I didn't know it existed and appreciate your post. Sorry, no ideas for the op.

There are dozens of versions recorded; the one I recall was narrated by Burl Ives (or crazy: Orson Welles?), and I suspect this is the same version you grew up with, airnxtz. There are versions by Patrick Stewart, Sting, and the one I'd buy today has Bono.
