Where is a good place to buy glasses in Melbourne, Australia?

I'm having difficulty finding good frames for glasses. Does anyone know of anywhere, preferably in the inner North or CBD, that has good service and a wide range of frames?
I am admittedly fairly picky. I need durable frames that can fit under ear muffs that look ok on my narrow and rather skinny face.
I ended up walking out of OPSM with just the prescription this morning and I don't want to use Specsavers ever again.
Any ideas?

CAL eyewear in South Yarra. The frames are inexpensive but well made.

If you're open to ordering online, Sneaking Duck frames are pretty stylish.

Frankie Dean has really nice frames. Online only but you can try the frames at home and they're all $99 including lenses. I'd love to get their Shirley frame but my stupid health fund pretty much limits me to Specsavers.

(I bought my last frames from eyeglassboy.com because I am hella tight and they give lots of size details for the frames they sell. The site is ugly. The service was fine and it helped me sidestep the same old same old in every shop. I had the lenses put in at Specsavers).
