Horrific Holidays!

I seem to remember a couple of years ago there was a post on the blue about a Northern European Yule spirit that would fish the bad children out of their houses using a meat hook, and either flay them, eat them, or both. Does this ring a bell to you?

It's not one of the Yule Lads, nor Grýla, Belsnickel, Krampus, Perchta, or Père Fouettard, as near as I can tell. Most of these are focused on merely traumatizing children; the Yule spirit I'm thinking of was pretty horrific.

Hold Nickar was the subject of a Christmas episode in Supernatural Season 3. A meat hook was involved. Humans were for dinner.

I didn't link it because the only wikipedia page I could find was in Spanish, but maybe that's a starting point or you.

Look at the Krampus post currently on the blue - there is a link to the previous Krampus story here. And there is an even previouslier link inside that post.

There's a christmas horror movie with this type of theme though I can't remember the name. It was on Netflix under foreign films in previous years. I think it was from Finland, maybe?
