Hard clamshell eyeglass case with a pocket clip.

Can you help me find a clamshell eyeglass case with a pocket clip?

My dad currently uses this type of eyeglass case. It is a soft case where the glasses slide in from the end and has a pocket clip. It frustrates him because he says when he slides the glasses in and out of the case, they get dirty.

He wants a hard clamshell case like this, but with one caveat - he wants it to include the pocket clip like the one he uses now.

I have searched and I can't find a hard case with a pocket clip. Can you help me find one, Mefites? If you can find me a pocket clip to stick on to a hard case that would be fine as well. Thank you!

I've never seen any hard clamshell cases with clips; if all else fails, could you maybe glue a clip onto an otherwise-acceptable case?

But consider how a hard case will look and feel in his shirt pocket: soft cases aren't nearly as heavy or as thick as a hard case, and the bulk of a hard case --- assuming one even fits into his pocket in the first place! --- will be an awkward weight dragging on his shirt. Before you go any further with the search for a clamshell case with a clip, ask your father to wear a (clipless) hard case in his shirt pocket for a couple days; he might decide jamming it in there and the way it'll deform how his shirts wear isn't, in the end, really worth it.

Best answer: Following up on easily confused's recommendation above, this stick-on clip has served me extremely well in a variety of contexts. It's very springy and robust, and I think it would work well in a shirt pocket with no problem. Should it ever get bent (as mine does periodically when worn on my belt), a pair of pliers can fix it quickly, and "trim tape" like this can reattach it. Also, as a bonus, the company is extremely receptive to any defects or problems, and if the clip should break or falter in another way, they've replaced them swiftly for me, with no costs.
