Can I be recommended some music similar to the link below please. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhUvTssIEek I already enjoy stuff like Plastikman, Mikkel metal, Burger & ink, Hardfloor, David August etc. But can't find much like the link (Coming Down Band Slow Mo Acid).

You might like MTV's AMP vol 1 and 2 (the compilation CD's). I did a quick search on youtube and found a playset for volume 1. This was kind of the techno that was out when I was younger.

Also the Wipeout XL game soundtack? It's starts out a little harsh though.

Can you tell me what the difference to you is between that track and stuff like hardfloor, because to my ears, that song is just bog-standard 80s acid house -- there are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of songs that sound just like it that came out in the late 80s and early 90s.

Response by poster: Empath, if that's an unpleasant way of you saying I've got a lot to search for, then thanks. I'll go and do some research/looking into 80s acid house.

Frankfurt Trax compilations are all right up this particular street. The work of Phuture is something that should appeal, as well as stuff by The Mover / Mescalinum United / Marc Arcardipane. Joey Beltram (Energy Flash, Mentasm) might be a bit too inyerfacemate, I don't know. If it's the acid squelch you like in particular, then Luke Vibert's Yoseph sound is probably something you already dig.

Perhaps it's not about the acid - you mention Plastikman, Burger and Ink, so I wondered whether to suggest Ricardo Villalobos? While he's famous for hedonistic 9 hour sets at Berghain, and so on, Ricardo Villalobos' albums are stunning in their ability to explore the surprising spaces within Techno's formula. Achso EP is a great place to start.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be unpleasant, just trying to see if you felt like that there was something particular about that song that made it stand out so i could direct you to something in particular.

The Trax compilations have tons of stuff like this, too. The Warp 10+1 compilation. If you find any mixes by Placid, get on that!

Isolée's the (ahem) ISO standard for microhouse: Beau Mot Plage.

Response by poster: Empath: No worries. I didn't have anything in particular about it as such, but maybe the nice bass and gloopy type sound it generates.

Stephan Bodzin, Liebe Ist is fantastic.

Maybe try some of the channels at di.fm? The mobile app and the web player both show the artist and track currently being played, so if you hear something you like, you can get more.
