baby gifts for germany

I would like to give my friends baby things that they may not be able to get in Germany.

I realize that you can probably get everything in Germany and it's probably nicer there anyway. But I want to give it a shot. I am in the US. Is there anything?

Lansinoh nursing pads, Motherlove nipple cream. Only applies if baby is breastfed, obviously. Lamaze baby toys (the colorful ones with lots of stuff on them). For older kids, Green Toys is a very popular brand that AFAIK isn't available in Germany.

Are you shipping things from the states to Germany? This advice pertains to Switzerland, but possible/probably applies to Germany as well. These are all things I imported from the states and most are available here as well, but are much more expensive / hard to find.
- OshKosh is a luxury brand sold only in boutiques. I have seen basic overalls for > 100 USD.
- Baby Gap clothes are quite trendy.
- The Ergobaby carrier costs about 2x as much.
- A basic pack and play (Graco) is quite useful and not so easy to find.

I'm finding American-made nontoxic rattles on the blog/website of Pufferbellies of Staunton. They know a lot about these things, and they do ship; give them a call.

(No business interest here. But yes, they're related to my gf)
