Can you recommend a bass guitar technician in Los Angeles?

I need to get my bass guitar set up this week. Sam Ash and Guitar Center have been pretty hit-or-miss for me with regard to... everything. Does anyone know of a good bass guitar tech in Los Angeles that could turn around a setup in a couple of days?

Closer to downtown LA is better. Burbank, Glendale, the San Fernando Valler are all OK. I don't have time to make trips as far as Arcadia.

I'm looking for a recommendation based on experience, not just a list of names.

If you know of an individual at one of the big music stores I mentioned whom you know does good work I'm not averse to getting work done there. Feel free to memail me if you want.

I know, I know, I could lean to do it myself. I used to set up my old bass, but I'm really slow and I just want to pay someone to do it right.

Best answer: I took a Gibson solid-body guitar to McCabe's in Santa Monica for a set up, and they did a pretty lousy job. (Issues with action and the bridge.) Based on Yelp reviews I then took the same guitar to Eric's Guitar Shop in Van Nuys and they did a great job.

The website says he has a 2-10 day turnaround, and a 1 day priority service for an extra 20%.

Response by poster: Okay, I just got my bass back from Eric, and he was exactly as awesome as his 5-star reviews say. Thanks bertran. I will never take my bass to anyone else.
