Shaped grip stickers for phone backing

The back of my cell phone is slippery. I'd like something similar to egrips' non-slip sticker, but I don't just want a large black rectangle.
Ideally, I'd like to purchase something already made. I'm looking for a laser cut design (example) so that it's pretty as well as functional. I can find vinyl stickers for the backs of phones, but can't find anything in a grippy material (except for the skateboard grip - which is too gritty/scratchy).
Is my only option to purchase a big rectangle and use an exacto knife and stencil to make my own shapes? Or is there some kind of grippy spray paint that I could stencil onto a hardcase? Any other ideas are welcome.

Response by poster: To clarify a bit: Take a look at this case. Now imagine if the blue key was a sticker made of a grippy material, and the rest of the case was a slick hard plastic. The key sticker would just be stuck directly to the phone, or onto a hard case. That's what I'd like to do.
I don't want the entire back and sides of the phone to be grippy (though the Tavik case mentioned above is very nice looking!).

Best answer: There are loads of colored and patterned duct tapes available these days. That might be grippy-not-scratchy enough, and you could you cut your desired shape before peeling it from the roll if you don't mind wasting a bit of the next layer.

Best answer: This sounds like a job for Sugru! You could flatten it and cut out shapes to apply to a case, much like decals to a bathtub. Not quite the ready made solution you wanted, but not too hard, either.

I've seen some cut-shape grip tape for both marine applications (steps and stuff) and skateboarders. Not sure of sources for it, but I've seen it. (I bought some intended for boat ladder steps to use on my somewhat slippery outside stairs on my house, but I don't remember where I got it.)

Best answer: Here's some grip-tape decals sold on etsy: 1 2
But they also make additives you can buy pretty cheap from Lowe's, which you just add to paint. You could pair that with a stencil or even maybe a stamp, and try a DIY approach. I'd test it out first.
