A friend heard this 30-second clip of a Yiddish song as an interstitial on a BBC Radio program. He asked me to identify it; I love it but have no clue. I would love to purchase more of this artist's music if you can tell me who they are?

Best answer: It appears to be this song.

Best answer: And here's the Freedman Catalog listing for the song and its variants, which gives a bunch of possible recordings (the song is on a Daniel Kahn recording, but it's not the version you have).

Response by poster: Thanks, both! It turns out that the singer is Sarah Gorby, and her album is downloadable on Amazon here.
