Delivering French canapés to a nursing home in Austin, TX: possible?

Through work, I have struck up a correspondence with an extraordinary translator and writer located in Austin, TX. Advancing age, declining health, and (from what I have gleaned) lack of local family members have conspired to put him in a nursing home. He's mentioned a craving for better food -- specifically for French canapés. Is there any French bistro or gourmet market in Austin where I could arrange for some beautifully prepared treats to be delivered to him?

I do not live in Austin, but a possible recommendation here: Post something here with a nominal fee for gas and delivery time, then have them pick something up from here (or if there are better restaurant alternatives I'm sure someone actually from Austin will chime in) and deliver it.

I do live in Austin -- is he looking for something specific? This is a big food town and I may be able to direct you to the right place.

I have been away from Austin for half a decade, but my partner and I enjoyed many a delicious meal at Chez Nous. A proper French restaurant, owned by real French people, who know their stuff. For anybody local - if you can get in on Bastille Day, you won't regret it. I don't know about their canape selection or a delivery option, but it's worth a try.

Central Market Austin is just a fancy grocery store, but their catered food is good and all. For a big enough order, I bet they'd deliver.

The Blue Dahlia is delicious. I'd offer to deliver if I had a car...

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I'll contact these local options and see if they deliver; if not, a very kind Mefite has already privately offered to deliver for me.

I think that Whole Foods delivers to certain areas, so if he's near one of those, it might be worth looking into what they have. I'm also in Austin and happy to help if you hit a wall.
