French pop bands similar to Stereo Total?

I recently discovered Stereo Total and want to listen to bands playing similar music--any recommendations?

Not quite as tongue-in-cheek, but with a similar energy, I would recommend Brazilian Girls. Listen to their track 'Good Time' and see how that works for you. Also, for the French indie pop flavor, there's Nous Non Plus; here's their track Fille Automatique . And they split off from faux French band Les Sans Culottes, who are also tres fun; here's their track Allô Allô . More electro than indie, there's also Yelle, not to be missed: A Cause Des Garcons. C'est chouette.

For the German half of the Stereo Total equation, Trio put out a really solid album of minimalist pop that belies the one-hit-wonder of "Da Da Da." For the French half: Lizzy Mercier Descloux. Lene Lovich and Flying Lizards are other stilted-delivery New Wavers that figure in their sound.

The Poptarts were a less polished act that was also on Bungalow records, Stereo Total's label. I've linked to Bungalow's stable, as it were, so you can check out others.
But, if you specify what is it about Stereo Total you like, the sparseness or the loungey-ness I could direct you a little further. But here's for starters in either direction:
For sparseness see: Young Marble Giants..
For Loungey-ness: Fantastic Plastic Machine, which was on Bungalow in Europe, Emperor Norton in the U.S. Luxury is especially delish.
Off Bungalow, Tipsy is also nice loungey stuff, with an exceedingly annoying website, my apologies.
