Experiences with Atlas Orthogonal treatments?

A new doctor has recommended Atlas Orthogonal treatment to realign my atlas (C1) bone. Anyone willing to share their experiences with this?
The info I can find online is split between the usual super positive and super negative/skeptic stuff. Has anyone in the hive undergone this treatment and can share some real world info? I understand that YANMD and that anything like this can vary wildly from patient to patient. Thanks!

Chiropractic is rubbish. It has been shown to be possibly useful for lower back pain, but cervical manipulation is dangerous.
More information about chiropractic.

I had something similar done, with no results. My belief is that a good masseuse can do the same thing, with results. And it would probably cost less too.

Sweet mother of god, don't mess with your cervical spine. This is a really, really bad part of your body for testing alternative medicine.

"C-4, breathe no more," is the mnemonic that helps one to remember that injuries sustained to cervical vertebrae above C-4, e.g. C-1, result in people needing to be hooked up to a ventilator for the rest of their lives (if they survive.) Obviously, there are medical procedures that are directed at that part of the neck, but they are undertaken with quite a bit of diffidence. I'm not sure what you are describing is such a procedure, but I would certainly get a second opinion from another MD about whether any procedure there was necessary.
