Looking for a good store in Toronto for baby gifts

A friend of mine recently did me a huge favor. I'd like to get him something for his newborn baby to say thank you. He lives in Toronto, I live in California. Are there any Toronto baby/child stores you'd recommend? Ideally ones that offer gift vouchers that I can order online.
If you want to thank your friend, give him a gift. If you want to buy a baby present, but a baby present.

Kol Kid is excellent, if a tad pricey.

It might be helpful to know what part of the city he lives in (east, west, north, downtown etc.) since he may prefer something that he doesn't have to trek across the city to redeem. There are are some great kid/baby stores in virtually every area.

Moms to be and more is the best and biggest baby store in Toronto. It's amazing! You can check out much of their stock online and unlike some excellent suggestions above like ella and elliot, they carry pretty much everything you need for a baby/toddler at all types of price points.

Dear Born Baby on Doncaster Road is nice. Prices are very reasonable. Ditto for Cannabee Baby.

Ella and Elliot might, too, but I couldn't see it on their website.
(Many women I know have recently had babies and many presents have come from these two stores. They are urban progressive types.)
