I'm not driving across OREGON in a Prius.

Where can I rent a luxury car for 24hrs in Portland, OR?
Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, or an exotic. I'll take a Lexus. I can get a Cadillac from Enterprise and the like. No Mustangs, thanks.

Best answer: I helped a co-worker rent a Jaguar from a rental place just west of downtown last year. It was the Enterprise on W Burnside, across the street from a Jaguar dealer. It was a fantastic car and the price wasn't too bad.
I'm not condoning this, but she played the "I'm an old, black lady" card and got a good discount.

You can get Mercedes and Porsche from Hertz. You didn't mention if BMW was acceptable, but Avis and Budget rent several BMW models. No idea if they have those models available at your local rental location...

Hertz Prestige Collection has Audis and Mercedes (or at least has had them in the past). Selection depends on location, but if you give them enough notice, they should move a car to the location near you.

Response by poster: I checked Hertz, Avis and Enterprise online and didn't see anything European at the downtown locations. I will perhaps call some of them. The F-355 is tempting. The Jag seems worth investigating.

Best answer: Zipcar carries lower-end European luxury cars. In Portland they list the following:
Audi A3, BMW 328xi, Volvo S40, and Mini Coopers.
If you are not a member and are interested, apply now, as I think it might take a few days to process the membership.

Best answer: Not sure if a Tesla qualifies, but there's one listed on Getaround for $50/hour.
Signing up for Getaround just requires a valid license, a Facebook account, and a willingness to part with some personal info. Successfully renting a car from the site is a bit of a gamble, though. My one effort to rent a Getaround car was never responded to by the owner, and I wound up having to go with another option.

I rented a "luxury" car from Enterprise (if you want to go with them), and it seems the best thing to do is to call around the various locations to see what they have. On the website it lists luxury at "Cadillac DTS or similar." I rented this option on my Honeymoon landing in Phoenix, AZ, and there was nary a Cadillac to be found.
They took us over to the "Premium/Luxury" row, and told us to choose one.
They had a Volvo Wagon, A couple new Camaros, A Saab, A BMW, and the one we picked: an Infiniti G37.
By that menagerie of vehicles, I'd bet that it's a wide random range depending on location. Call around to the Enterprises and see what's available in their "luxury" row.

(Oh.. and I'd bet an airport would have the widest selection due to the amount of returns)...

Response by poster: Tesla qualifies, but I'm driving to Corvallis so I'm not sure they have the range I require.
