How much does a lucky day cost? $7.77

What are some things you can do if you're feeling particularly lucky?

This is a silly question and silly answers are welcomed as well as thoughtful. Have you ever had a day where, say, you checked out at lunch counter and your total was $7.77? Then later on a walk a fox (rare where I live) crosses your path and later an albino pigeon lands on your balcony... and other weird things that just add up in your mind as good omens or strange observations. I'm not a particularly superstitious person, just am very observant and some days and like to play a game in my mind that it is a sign I should do something where luck is involved.

I am not talking about gambling, since I don't really enjoy it. The only examples I can think of are maybe signing up to win something, having some courage to go up and talk to an interesting looking person at a store (this happened to me before and later became a great connection... and other times ended up being a cray-cray person), taking a trip to the thrift store in search of rare records, etc etc.

What are some fun fanciful examples of when you're feeling particularly lucky and therefore have an excuse to go out and test it... in a playful way, not seriously.

Thank you so much in advance, you guys are always a fun source for things like this.

Response by poster: Gambling involves financial risks and good working knowledge of the games, and though contests you DO give something (contact info), it's not as risky. Also, there are not any sources besides the lotto around here.

Might be a good day for skee-ball or another type of "skill" game that would allow you to win a tickets, a stuffed animal, or some other memento to memorialize the day.

If it's a clear night in your neck of the woods, stare into the night sky for shooting stars.

Given that it's based on confirmation bias, if you want to continue the feeling, you shouldn't test it; your test, being independent of the previous events, will follow the preexisting odds. In other words, if you want to keep feeling lucky, just keep letting lucky things happen to you instead of trying to make them come to you.

It's all gambling! Don't draw distinctions there.

Go on a random quest. Take a walk and flip a coin at every corner to determine where you're going. When you pass a business, flip a coin to determine whether you go in. When you finally go into one, talk to someone inside about the business, or wherever the conversation goes. Luck will ensure that you have an adventure, or at least meet someone new.

*Go bowling! You might bowl a really good game out of nowhere.
*Play pool! Same idea.
*Attempt some kind of tricky baking or cooking experiment like a soufflé or a perfect omelette.
*Check all your winter jackets' pockets, the purses you're not using, and down in your couch cushions and in your dresser drawers for money you might have forgotten.
*Buy scratch-off lotto tickets and give them away to someone else, to see if they win.
*Dress up, go to a bar, order a fussy sort of drink and flirt with someone who you think is out of your league.
*Toss coins in a fountain and make some wishes.
*Ask for extras - now is the time to call your credit card company and ask them to waive a fee, or raise your limit; or something similar.
*Have a difficult conversation - call someone you haven't been getting along with to try to smooth things over, or someone you've been wanting to tell off and tell them off, or someone you want to be honest with but haven't quite been able to and be honest.
